The franchise mode, which added a new scenario engine, is the best one we've had since Madden 12. I am not fond of the game-mode, but Ultimate Team is as good as its ever been. The addition of X-Factor and Superstar players helps the game feel more alive and makes the good players feel good. I did, however, give this game a "4", which means it has some redeeming qualities. Unsurprisingly, this mode makes EA the most money by far. The game is shallow everywhere except for the Madden Ultimate Team mode, which is updated almost daily and receives numerous updates throughout the year.
